GoPro – Go Gili | IDC Gili Islands | Holly Macleod - Platinum PADI Course Director #629124

If you’re thinking about becoming a PADI Professional than the Gili Islands is the place to do it and the IDC Gili Islands can help you to get started with your new found career. The Gili Islands consist of three small islands situated of the north coast of Lombok, Indonesia. The largest of the three islands is Gili Trawangan and this is where it all happens. Most of the dive sites are situated on the shores of Gili Trawangan and this may also account for the reason that most of the larger, more established centers are based here. Gili Trawangan does have a reputation for nightlife and is often called the “Party Island” however most of the night spots are situated in one street leaving the rest of the island peaceful and quiet so I guess it could be said that in Gili Trawangan you get the best of both worlds.

One of the larger more established dive centers on the island is Trawangan Dive. Trawangan Dive is a Multi award winning dive center situated on the best stretch of beach the island has to offer and is also the longest established PADI Career Development Center in Lombok and the Gili Islands. We run the full range of professional PADI programs from the Divemaster right the way through the entire range of instructor training programs. The PADI Divemaster program is continuous and therefore you can enroll whenever you like all year round. The PADI IDC starts once a month and is run on an 11 day schedule with an additional 4 days of Pre-IDC preparation. ThePADI IDC Indonesia Divemaster & Instructor Programs have been praised by both past students and industry leaders alike and in fact earlier this year our facility won the award for “outstanding contribution to professional development”.

The PADI IDC program here at Trawangan Dive is conducted by the only resident Platinum Course Director in the Gili Islands who offers the program exclusively through Trawangan Dive. So if you’re looking for a change of career or just looking to make a career out of doing what you love than don’t hesitate to contact us and check out your PADI IDC Indonesia Career Options. IDC Indonesia Career Development | Trawangan Dive | PADI IDC Gili Islands

The PADI IDC Gili Islands is conducted at Trawangan Dive; the fist ever established PADI CDC Center in Lombok and the Gili Islands. As a PADI CDC Center our Platinum Course Director has devised a range of options to compliment your Instructor Development.

Of course all additional PADI Instructor Training can be carried out here in our prestigious PADI CDC Center including specialty training, MSDT, Staff Instructor and even Master Instructor preparation programs.

Trawangan Dive has recently been awarded for our “Outstanding Contribution to Professional training” which is awarded for our extremely professional approach to teaching the PADI Divemaster and IDC programs. Both the Divemaster and the Instructor Development Courses can be run alongside a range of alternative career enhancing programs.

The PADI Instructor Development Course is conducted every month here at our PADI Career Development Center in Gili Trawangan and is run on an 11 day schedule consisting of classroom, confined and open water training in preparation for the PADI Instructor Exam held here in The Gili Islands. It is recommended that candidates arrive a minimum of 4 days prior to the start date of the course to attend our pre-IDC preparation workshops.

Specialty training is a good idea if you know which programs you are interested in and therefore which ones you will enjoy teaching.

Of course it is also a good idea to check out what is available in the location you wish to teach. For example; if you are going to be working in a place that is famous for wrecks, you may wish to take the wreck diving speciality instructor. Or for if you are going to work in a place that is popular with underwater photography you may wish to choose the PADI Digital Underwater Photography specialty.

Another option would be to take advantage of one of our Career Enhancement Programs. The PADI IDC Gili Trawangan Biorock Internship is an excellent idea for those interested in marine conservation as it will teach you everything you need to know about marine conservation and reef restoration. During the program you will learn about factors that affect coral damage, learn how to effectively conduct coral gardening activities and actually build and install your own Biorock structure and learn about maintenance and coral transplanting.

Our PADI IDC Gili Islands and Komodo Livaboard Internship offers candidates to finish their PADI IDC here at our PADI CDC Center in Gili Trawangan. They will than travel to Komodo to meet our exclusive Livaboard where they will shadow our experienced cruise directors learning how to run a successful Livaboard operation. This program allows participants to learn more about the dive industry whilst experiencing some of the best diving in the world.

If you wish to join any of our career orientated programs or simply wish to find out more about the PADI IDC Course run by our Platinum PADI Course Director, here at our PADI CDC Center in Gili Trawangan check out our GoPro InstructorDevelopment Website
