The program offers a number of advantages for professional
Divemasters wishing to take the next step. Firstly the program take place at
the first PADI IDC Career Development Center (CDC) to be established in the
Gili Islands offering world class training facilities. The course is entirely
run by Award Winning Platinum rated PADI Course Director Holly Macleod.
IDC training takes place in the Gili Islands which is a
fantastic location for dive professionals looking to make a start within the
industry. Gili Trawangan offers a tropical Island surrounded by palm swept
white sandy beaches and turquoise blue tropical sea with a wealth of marine
life. Tourism is definitely growing on the island and the diving is good,
meaning the number of dive courses are also increasing exponentially and
therefore the demand for dive Instructors will always be increasing year upon
year.
Once a PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Instructor you can teach
the entire range of programs from entry level up to Divemaster as well as the
Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty. Other Specialties are subject to the
instructor gaining the necessary certification to teach in each individual area
of their choosing.
The course itself takes place over an 11 day period and
includes 5 days of pre-IDC preparation that has been designed to make the
transition to Instructor level training as smooth as possible. Prep training
focusses on dive theory and skill circuit reviews and ensures that candidates
have the most up to date PADI materials. The IDC itself then makes the jump to
teaching the courses that Divemasters already have been assisting on. We aim to
ensure that our candidates are as prepared as possible, allowing them to enjoy
a thorough and challenging IDC program.
